"Walden" is the American writer Henry. David. Thoreaus creation of a collection of essays, the book recorded in Thoreau Walden when living and feeling what one sees and hears. This book consists of 18 essays, "economic", Thoreau recorded the communication between farmers and farmers, learned that the hard life in the exchanges, not hard and criticized the peasants lived a luxurious life of the rich. In the species bean, Thoreau recorded the process of growing beans, gained the harvest through his own planting, and experienced the joy of labor and harvest from this process.

In so many essays, what impressed me most is "brute neighbors", the author describes himself in some animal see Walden when living. They left a footprint of the life in Walden, brings vitality to open peaceful Walden, also from experience to people with self harmony and warm enthusiasm.

"Walden" shows the beauty of nature to us, in fact, the book of creation, the United States is in agriculture era to the industrial age stage, the rapid development of economy, industrialization to stimulate people to pursue wealth, for money in the exploitation of natural resources fling caution to the winds to destroy nature. Follow all kinds of environmental problems, the natural ecological environment has been seriously polluted, Thoreau want to appeal to people to protect nature through his admiration of nature in the pond.

In fact, not only in the last century, now industrialization still brought many environmental pollution, we also know that some factories secretly discharge of sewage and waste gas, make clear and clean water to become stinking, dark. The rivers of many rivers are still drifting through the white belly of the fish. Although many laws now prohibit enterprises from dumping waste water and sewage, the punishment is not enough to make enterprises feel scared, but they still go their own way.

There are some businesses in order to meet some people desire to capture the state protected wild animal to sell, once when the pangolin is an animal so common, is now difficult to find traces of them in the mountains, most of them are delicious dishes on the table. Now children even think that pangolin is only the animal in the book.

In order to seek economic development and develop natural resources, the forest coverage rate is becoming smaller and smaller, and the clarity of rivers is becoming lower and lower. Not only to humans, but also to many of the river water for the survival of the animals lost their place to live. But how can man live in harmony with nature? Only when we protect nature can man and nature become more harmonious.

Afternoon, repeatedly read Thoreau walden, really touched. His words are simple, but his mind is unique. I know that this is a wise old man. I know he age in walden alone, even if die also not "the old man," but he did give me a man only some broad, the feeling of calm and wisdom. He and loneliness, but not depressed. Hes so passionately in love with nature, with childish imagination roam and describe the nature. He actively explore the relationship between human and nature, classical firmly maintain the natural ecological. He believes that human beings only in nature can keep their own pure nature. So enthusiastically retells the goddess of the heart -- walden pond, isnt it in each individual heart should retain a shrine?

I am very contradictory about Thoreau. My man in that he has a gentle and wise at the same time, the mind will always emerge again such a scene: a lonely child, strolling along the lake or roaming in the forest, dont panic, dont show helpless; Looking at the booming luxuriant growth of all, heart full of joy, it seems that he is also involved in the creation, he can grow up. At ease with itself that makes him peremptory became the king of the forest; However he is not willing to above all things, he just want to be the natural children forever.

Yes, he is the child of nature, but this is not a novel twittering and shouted to the world of children. I often caught off guard by his curiosity and calm. He looked at it quietly, whether the noisy city, or silent trees. He quietly thinking, thinking about the great creativity of human being, also think they just me. He is the honour person of mankind. He with a quiet and pure soul, with a noble and head leaning the vast beings of wisdom. Him at the beginning of the industrial revolution and foresee the present situation of the one thousand two hundred years later, his concern with human, contempt for mankind. He is worried that all good things will be along with the development of the people under the utilitarian purpose and dies, the lake of walden pond will also become a memory. Even memory will fade away, until no longer memory.

Before, I thought I could, Thoreaus life. I even try to do that, but I live in a little busy but not is lonely town. I cant get a belong to me, of course it is impossible to have a real landscape, in addition to put on the balcony of tall buildings with various kinds of green plants. In simple term, though I am neutral in life our life pure, but common things in the world can still make me with; I like the wild, but not necessarily can truly idyllic retreat.

Thoreaus walden pond as a lover to love. Because love deeply, so do not allow damage; We are living in a civilized society, was simply trying to save with a 15 dream comfort myself. So Thoreau has a unique temperament and the greatness of different from ordinary people.

When Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) set out for the Walden woods in Massachusetts on Independence Day, 1845, the United States was still a young nation. The book that he published in 1854, Walden, is based upon his experiences as a youth.

The young don’t yet know how to live. They must experience the world and reflect upon their experiences in order to gain knowledge. The same is true of a nation. The book’s status as a classic shows that what Thoreau had to say echoed in the souls of other Americans.

And it’s not just his fellow countrymen who relate to the story – Walden is read all over the world. If it can be enjoyed by non-Americans, this is because Thoreau set out to find what the basic principles of life are, no matter where we’re from. We may not agree with his answers, but we identify with his quest for meaning. This is probably why Walden is still loved by so many people, even 200 years after Thoreau’s birth, the anniversary of which will fall on July 12 this year.

Thoreau looked around him and saw the beginnings of industrialism and found it ugly. He disliked the factories and he disliked what they produced. He objected to consumerism, suspectingthat it took people away from their real concerns. Men and women lived lives of “quiet desperation” because modern life was leading them astray.

In Walden, he would find what he hoped was really “essential”. As he writes near the beginning of the book, “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” This is the major theme of the book. He hoped nature could be his guide and his teacher.

We should not think that Thoreau was simply withdrawing from the world. He didn’t go to Walden only to stare into the surface of lakes and observe wildlife. He went there because he was disgusted by modern civilization. Ironically, some of the people that Thoreau met around Walden wanted the opposite to him. If he wanted to escape from civilization, they wanted to get out of nature and leave it for a more exciting existence in the town.

Thoreau was greatly influenced by ancient Greece and Rome. And in a sense, the philosophy of the book he wrote is very classical. Socrates once said that the “unexamined life is not worth living”, but what was Thoreau doing in his cabin in the woods if not examining life? Not only was he examining his own, but the life of America and its people in general.
