到了金沙遗址博物馆，我们先去了遗迹馆，遗迹馆的面积很大，有许多方坑，一个比一个深，地层最深数是19。每个坑中都标明了从中挖出了什么物品。其中有一个又大又深的坑中有一棵很大的树根，这是一棵3000年前巨大的榕树树根，发现于摸底河边，树根涉及范围达100余平方米，直接反映出金沙时代当地树木参天植被繁茂的环境状况。这说明当时这里种植着非常多的参天大树。由于，不能拿出来观看，所以，只能在地面上铺了一层玻璃，让大家在上面观看。

接着我们又去了陈列馆，在陈列馆里面看见了许许多多做工精致而美丽的古代东西。据馆前的`概况介绍：这里是古蜀时期一处专用的滨河祭祀场所，分布面积约150000平方米，年代约商代晚期。现已发现60余处祭祀遗存，出土金、铜、玉、石、漆木等珍贵文物6000余件、以及数以吨记的象牙和众多的野猪獠牙、鹿角等。

最令人感到惊奇的是数以吨记的完整象牙、其中最长的达到了1.86米以上。成都这个地方是没有野生象的，现在我们在动物园看到的大象是从遥远的亚热带运来的。距今3000年的商代晚期，没有先进的交通工具，要从遥远的亚热带将象牙运来成都，那就要徒步走过千山万水才能到达，时间将以年计，还要背着长约2米的象牙行走，实在是太不可能了。

那么这些象牙是从哪里来的呢？我们猜想：当时的成都，曾经有过野生大象。
